We ordered two colour codes from this $8.51 ERD face-print tee run and measured them flat at our Rotterdam desk. The listed 2 cm tolerance explains most sizing complaints — and the sleeve spec argues with itself.
4.2 / 5Hands-on score
Editor verdict
A well-made, genuinely loose $8.51 cotton tee with a clean face print and a very deep colour run. The 2 cm tolerance and a contradictory sleeve spec mean you should confirm measurements and construction before paying.
What works
- Our size L measured 55.8 cm flat chest and 73 cm length — a true loose cut with even stitching and a square pocket.
- Print and washes held up: 0.10–0.18 mm print depth, no cracking after two cold washes, minimal shrinkage.
- The colour run is unusually broad, including several washed blacks, off-whites and pocket variants.
Watch-outs
- A 2 cm measurement tolerance across this many colour codes means an L can read close to an XL.
- The listing says short sleeve and sleeveless in the same record, so sleeve construction needs confirming.
- Positive buyer reports come from an ERD haul covering other pieces, not this SKU, and authenticity is unverified.
- Who may find this useful
- Shoppers who want a breathable 230–270 gsm cotton summer tee in a relaxed cut, will ask the agent for flat measurements and QC photos, and can live with the colour run's washed finishes.
- Who may want to skip this
- Anyone who wants a fitted silhouette, will not message the seller before buying, or needs ERD authenticity markers independently confirmed rather than inspected in photos.
Our testing desk ordered two colour codes from the ERD multicolor T-shirt collection through the Kakobuy shopping agent: 602 black, and 852 washed black with the chest pocket. The listing sat at $8.51 against a $10.10 reference price, was marked in stock, and carried SKU 7718782900. Both pieces are short-sleeve, crew-neck, loose-fit cotton tees, and both arrived in one polymailer.
What we logged before cutting the tape
The parcel was photographed untouched and weighed before opening: 512 g for two tees plus packaging, with the plain black size L at 268 g on its own. Both were laid flat and compared with the agent's warehouse QC images under a 5000K lamp. The two blacks read as clearly different garments — 852 is greyer through the seams with a faded cast, which is what a washed treatment should do, while 602 is a flat, dense black. Warehouse lighting did flatten the difference slightly on screen; the lamp comparison is what separated them.
Measurements, and how much room the 2 cm tolerance actually gives
We ran calipers and a tape over the plain black size L after a single cold wash cycle was skipped on one of them, so the numbers below are as-delivered:
| Measurement | Our size L (flat) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chest, pit to pit | 55.8 cm | Roughly 112 cm around — a deliberate loose cut |
| Body length, HPS to hem | 73.0 cm | Sits below the hip on a 180 cm frame |
| Hem width | 55.5 cm | Straight, no taper |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 50.0 cm | Dropped shoulder line |
| Sleeve, shoulder seam to cuff | 21.5 cm | Ends mid-upper-arm |
| Hem allowance | 1.2 cm | Double-needle stitched |
| Collar rib band | 2.0 cm | Even width all the way round |
Against the seller's stated flat figures for the same size, our samples landed within about 1 cm on length and 1.4 cm on chest. That is inside the listing's 2 cm tolerance, which is the useful part: the tolerance is not a rounding convenience, it is wide enough to move a size L into territory a buyer might read as a size XL. Anyone between sizes should ask for per-colour flat measurements rather than trusting the label alone.
The sleeve description contradicts itself
The raw listing attributes give "short sleeve" under sleeve length and "sleeveless" under sleeve type. Our delivered pieces are unambiguously short-sleeved, with a 21.5 cm sleeve on the L and a cleanly finished cuff. We cannot tell whether the conflicting field applies to a tank variant buried in the colour run or is simply a mis-tagged attribute. If sleeve construction matters to you, put the question to the seller before paying — it takes one message.
Print, colour and the pocket option
Print depth measured between 0.10 mm and 0.18 mm proud of the jersey across five points on the face graphic, with a soft hand and no visible halo around the edge. The pocket variant adds a patch pocket with its own print placement, which shifts the graphic slightly lower on the chest; our 852 sample's pocket sat square to the placket line. The colour list is genuinely wide — dozens of codes spanning active black, washed black, off-white, stone grey and brown-black, plus the pocket variants. Two washes on the 852 sample produced no cracking or flaking, though the first wash water ran light grey, which is normal for a garment-dyed or washed finish and not a fault.
Fabric, weight and how it wore
The listing specifies pure cotton single jersey at 230–270 gsm, ordinary thickness, breathable. Our samples feel like the lighter end of that range: opaque in black, slightly shaded in off-white when held to a window, soft straight out of the bag. Summer wear was comfortable and the loose cut kept air moving. In a cold wash, inside out and air-dried, length dropped about 0.8 cm and chest about 0.4 cm — within the stated tolerance and not enough to change the fit.
What we could not verify
The positive quality and colour reports attached to this product come from an ERD clothing haul thread covering other pieces, not this SKU, so they are category context rather than evidence about this listing. We also cannot verify authenticity markers from a photograph. ERD is one of the most counterfeited streetwear labels, and published legit-check guides point at the same three places every time:
Authentic text has even thickness throughout; fakes show uneven or overly thick lettering.
That guidance comes from a public fake-versus-real ERD guide, and it maps onto the points worth requesting in QC photos: wash-tag lettering evenness, neck-tag text size and spacing, and any extra stitching the piece should not have. Our samples showed even, consistent tag lettering, but we hold that as an observation on our pair, not a verdict on the batch.
How to order it without guessing
- Ask the agent for flat chest, length and shoulder measurements in the exact colour code you want — variants are cut across a wide run and the 2 cm tolerance is real.
- Request QC photos of the neck tag, wash tag and any pocket stitching before approving the parcel.
- Confirm the sleeve type and the print technique in writing, because the listing does not settle either.
- Size down only if you want a regular rather than loose fit; the L we measured is roomy rather than boxy.
Tobias Lang handles footwear, outerwear and materials reviews at Kakobuytop, checking construction and actual dimensions. Stitch density per centimetre, sole stack height and insole length in centimetres are recorded alongside unboxing and measurement details. Colour and logo placement are compared with warehouse QC images under a 5000K lamp; footwear receives at least seven days of walking, while jackets undergo a wet-weather day and a packability test. Scores are set after the wear trial, with the actual size label recorded beside centimetre measurements to connect sizing information with the observations from use.

Frequently asked
How do I choose a size without trying the tee on?
Take your usual size only if you want the loose cut as intended. Ask the agent for flat chest and length figures in your chosen colour code, then compare them with a tee you already own — the 2 cm tolerance can push one size into the next.
Is the price the same for every colour code in the run?
The snapshot showed a single $8.51 price against a $10.10 reference for the listing as a whole. We could not confirm whether pocket variants or the rarer washed finishes carry a different item price, so have the agent verify the code you pick before checkout.
Will the face print crack or peel?
Our samples showed no cracking or flaking after two cold washes, inside out and air-dried, and the print measured 0.10–0.18 mm proud of the fabric. The listing only says printing and dyeing, so the technique behind that finish is not stated.
